How to Create a Personal Brand as an Expert

A potential client asked me a great question today.  It went something like this:   “Creating a personal brand and being seen as an expert seems daunting.  Is that just marketing-speak or can I really do that?”

My answer went something like this: “Decide what you want to be known for.  Create a list of these topics and create content such as articles, videos, books, reports, tips, products, teleclasses about them. Share your content on social media and other places.”

For example, here is my list of topics I use for creating content or comment on in social media. You will see that it’s a mix of personal and business.

  1. Expert (Personal) Branding
  2. Business branding
  3. Visibility and credibility tips, resources and info for experts
  4. Wealth building
  5. Empowering young girls
  6. Life experiences
  7. Promotion of clients/friends
  8. Things I find funny

What are your topics?
